National Diaper Need Awareness is Sept 23-29

ADK Diaper Bank is proud to announce its upcoming Diaper Drive during National Diaper Need Awareness Week, from September 23 to 29, 2024. This vital initiative aims to address the pressing need for diaper assistance within the local community.

1 in 2 American families struggle to afford enough diapers, a basic necessity for their babies’ health and well-being. ADK Diaper Bank encourages residents to help make a difference by donating unopened boxes of diapers during the drive.

Drop-off Locations include:

  • Mountain Lake PBS
  • Dannemora Federal Credit Union

Donations made to ADK Diaper Bank are tax-deductible, and every box of diapers will go directly to local families in need, making a significant impact in reducing diaper need across the region.

All sizes are accepted, but there is a particular need for larger sizes of diapers, sizes 5 and up.

“Diaper need is a hidden crisis that many families face. We’re calling on the community to step up and support this cause by donating diapers to ensure all babies can stay clean, dry, and healthy,” said Jennifer Kowalczyk, a board member from ADK Diaper Bank.

ADK Diaper Bank is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) organization that relies on community donations to meet the needs of families in the area. National Diaper Need Awareness Week brings attention to the growing number of families who struggle with this issue.

ADK Diaper Bank partners with the Joint Council for Economic Opportunity (JCEO), making diapers readily available for pick-up at the JCEO food pantry located at 54 Margaret St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901 (open Mondays 9-12, Wednesdays 12-3, Thursdays 12-3, and Fridays 11-2).
